Parks Division
The Precinct 4 Parks Division is tasked with patrolling over 3,800 acres of county parks, recreational facilities, and greenways located in northern Harris County. The Parks Division is commanded by a Captain who oversees all law enforcement matters in the parks. Units assigned to the parks division are trained in swift-water rescue, rural EMT, bicycle patrol, and ATV patrol.
With over 3,800 acres of conveniently located parkland, Precinct 4 residents don’t have to travel far for quality recreation and relaxation. Adults and children alike can enjoy a variety of free and low-cost programs at Mercer and Jones parks as well as unique amenities at every Precinct 4 park, which may include canoe launches, picnic areas, playground equipment, sports fields, archery ranges, skate parks, fishing, equestrian trails, nature trails and more.
