Training Division Rules and Dress Code
Classroom Attire: Dress for a professional training environment. Appropriate classroom dress includes: Departmental uniforms, business casual attire, i.e.; collared shirts and pressed pants, jeans, or BDU style pants. No shorts, tee shirts, flip-flop style shoes, yoga style pants, or tank tops will be permitted unless otherwise instructed by Training Division personnel. Wearing of hats or caps in the classroom will not be allowed. Jeans with holes or tattered material will not be allowed.
Outdoor Training Attire: During outdoor or physical activity training, baseball style caps or Boonie style hats may be worn. No shorts, flip-flop style shoes, open-toed shoes, yoga style pants, tank tops, or tee shirts, will be allowed unless otherwise instructed by Training Division personnel.
Any other specific attire or requirements will be shared at time of course registration.
Attendance: Class attendance is an essential part of the education process, and participants in Precinct 4 courses are expected to attend all class sessions and field exercises. The courses requires participants to attend a minimum of 80% of the class hours as a component of successful course completion. During the course, your instructor will review any additional attendance requirement, for example, a field exercise that cannot be missed.
Participants in a TCOLE credit course must complete the class in its entirety to receive TCOLE credit.
All Training Division personnel have the authority to enforce Training Division rules and dress code, regardless of rank, up to and including the removal from a course.
